The CLSU - Distance, Open, and Transnational University (DOT-Uni) kicked off its first day of the Learning Outcomes and Syllabus Writing Review Workshop on March 19, 2025, at the Center for Transboundary Animal Diseases (CENTrAD). Dr. Elaida Fiegalan, the Dean of DOT-Uni, formally opened the workshop with an inspiring address. She shared her vision for the program and the critical role of defining and building clear program outcomes in shaping a robust syllabus. She stressed that regularly reviewing syllabi ensures alignment with the evolving educational landscape. Fiegalan also provided a comprehensive look into the evolution of the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) and Program Outcomes (POs) of DOT-Uni, highlighting the university's growth from its inception to the present. The event also featured remarks from Dr. Ravelina Velasco, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, who expressed gratitude to the attending faculty for their commitment to advancing academic excellence. She highlighted that the workshop will significantly contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG No. 4, Quality Education. Faculty tutors from various colleges attended the workshop, including representatives from the College of Agriculture, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Home Science and Industry, College of Science, and the College of Veterinary Science and Medicine.
